Hello everyone!! My husband and I are planning a trip to southern Germany, some part of Austria and Italy thereafter.

The current rough itinerary is as follows:

Fly into Munich on 16th May. will be there in Munich for 3 nights.

Leave for Berchtesgaden from Munich through train on fourth day and see lake Konigsee and Obersee and then go to Salzburg by bus. Explore salzburg for a few hours and stay there overnight.

Next day leave for Hallstatt and then return back to salzburg. Overnight stay at salzburg.

Day 6: In the morning leave for Innsbruck, explore it for entire day and then stay overnight at Garmisch.

Day7: visit neuschwanstein Castle and explore Fussen. Overnight at Garmisch

Day 8:Explore Garmisch & surrounding areas like ettal, oberammergau. Planning to see lake Eibsee and Linderhof Palace as well. Back to Munich next day.

Initially we were planning to take a rental car but then navigation, parking and all seemed to much of a hassle. Hence planning to rely on public transport.

Hence i wanted to know if exploring Garmisch and surrounding areas could be done through public transport? Are there busses from Garmisch to all the places that i have mentioned above (Eibsee, linderhof, ettal, oberammergau)?

In Garmisch we shall be staying at an airbnb in Alpspitzstraße 15 which is close to bus station.

Also does this itinerary look doable or should we make any changes.
