We just got back from Florence May 1 and loved the Hotel Villa Medici. A short walk from the train statin and 10min by taxi to the airport. Easy walk to mid town, Duomo, etc. It has a pool, too..unheard of in Florence! Check Cheap Hotels, Expedia, etc. We got our package from Luxury Link.com. Ours was a 5 daY PACKAGE INCLUDING FULL BREKKIE AND A DINNER, BONUS SIDE TRIPS. nOT CHEAP, BUT NEITHER IS FlORENCE!Hotel Lugarno is my all time favorite. Small and on the river Arno, but also not cheap. Summer in Italy is pricey...but fabulous!
