Lisa-
My daughter leaves Friday for Florence and a couple of other places. I'll e-mail you. Yes - she's studying at the International Universitie du Cannes in conjunction with her college here. she loves it. She gets to work at the film festival at the end of her semester then we meet up with her in Venice and travel through Italy for three weeks - I'll be looking for good shopping tips from you then!
Happy traveling!

Dear Italy06,
There is a great glove store in Florence, I think it is called Madova. They are the best in Florence, if not the most expensive. They have leather gloves in every color, and many kinds of linings. The salesgirl just looked at my hand and knew what size I was. We found the place on our honeymoon 23 years ago and returned two years ago. Of course my husband and I bought ourselves some luxurious gloves. I bought glorious red! Tell you daughter to have a wonderful time traveling in Italy!
