Need Etap Hotel advice!
Hi!
I'm italian and me with 3 friends are going to have a 14 days trip in South Germany (Bavary and Baden Wuttenberg) this summer.
We have plan these main stops:
Heidelberg (flight arrival Baden-Baden)
Nurnberg
Munich
Bodensee
Black Forest
back to Baden
We are 4 student with a low budget, so we are searching for cheap hotels (not hostels with shared baths...).
We don' t have great requirements for the hotel, merely clean room and comfortable beds!
We have find Etap Hotels in many city with good prices,we know belong to the group of Accor hotels that is very good...
But did someone stay at this group hotel (Etap) and have something to tell me?
Other budget accomodations or trip suggestions are welcome!
Thank you all,
Elena

Sorry, but I can't say I've ever stayed in an Etap. However, once in Versailles we stopped by one just to take a peek.
The room we looked at had one bunk-bed for the 2 beds, WC, nothing fancy, very small, but very clean and neat. Not sure about a TV. But I believe it should suit your requirements as a clean, budget hotel.
The Ibis hotel chain is a step up, and I have stayed at many Ibis hotels, still budget but 2 separate beds that suit our bill better than Etap. But you are probably familiar with them as you mentioned the Accor website. Just depends on your budget.
You won't be spending that much time in your rooms anyway. Sounds like a great trip you have planned.
Happy travels!

hi there,
You did not tell how You travel. Etap hotels are mostly out of town and You need to have a car. The rooms are very small, the bath also. But very clean.
Other ideas are just take a "normal" Persion or Gasthaus. Most of them have rooms with privat bath for res. price.
When do You go? In summer holiday You may need a reservation, specialy in Heidelberg, Nürnberg and Munich!
have fun
