Or the Canaries Islands. Usually around 70-75F throughout winter. Southern coasts of Gran Canaria or Tenerife are warmer and sunnier.

It may be our winter as well, but I think you will find Thailand hot enough for a beach holiday.

Tons of Brits vacation in the US in Naples ,Fla--we usually stay at the Registry Resort or Ritz Carlton during that time and there are always Brits--due to your lb being worth so much more than our dollar it is a real savings--we emt some English people who were staying there a month while their home was being remodeled!!! It is a gorgeous area and luxury hotel--both of them--they are overlooking the Gulf of Mexico--you can usually get cheap air into Miami and drive the 2 hrs across the state or fly into Ft.Myers,Fla and driive 1/2 hr S. on I-75 to Naples--there's wonderful restaurant, deep sea fishing, tours of the evergades, and great shopping in that area--you will enjoy it!!!!!! And Virgin Atlantic flys direct into MIAMI-

Be prepared to travel. I'm planning on leaving London over xmas for either Cuba, South America or Thailand.

But if you don't want to leave Europe and can live without the beach, what about a ski holiday in The Alps?
