Have you checked for web sites for these hotels? The rates will be posted.

I paid $120 for a small double in Sultanahmet in October. You will be going in low season, so you might find a double for $100, but I don't think you'll get a double for $80 in Sultanahmet.

Based on reviews at Trip Advisor, Turkey Travel Planner and here, we'll be staying at the Sari Konak in May. So far the staff has been very responsive to my emails.

I believe for your budget you could get a standard double room but it may be small (the rooms vary). We have reserved an apartment and a double in the main building and I requested a specific room based on notes/pics on T/A. Maybe you can do the same. Best of luck.

Stayed at Hotel Niles - loved it! But it is not in the main tourist area. It is down hill about a block and a half from the Grand Bazaar. Very easy to walk or take tram to the main attractions about 10 min. away. Hotel staff is amazing - gal at front desk knows everything.
Breakfast has a wide variety of food and is served on the roof with a view of the Sea of Marmara. Spotlessly clean. Rooms small, but was only in the room to sleep.

We stayed at the Hotel Hali for 60€.

Paying in cash might reduce the rate.
