Narrow boats
We are planning a return trip to England and are looking into renting a narrow boat for a week, possibly in the York area. Has any one out there had an experience with this type of accomadation/travel. Would be interested in hearing people's expereinces. Thanks in advance.

Another book "Live skills" (1999)by Katie Fforde is centred an operator of hotel narrowboat and stories about all the up and down on the canal.

I am always interested on boating in European waterways. Last month,I tried a short narrowboat trip on Llangollen Canal,it was lovely to walk along the canal by the boat. There were many self-drive boats around. To me the only draw back would be the weather,it would be quite cramped in the rain.
