I would appreciate detailed information regarding transporation from the Naples airport to Sorrento. I know there is a bus at fairly frequent intervals from the Naples airport to the train station in Naples, but I also know there are several stations. Would appreciate the most detailed info anyone can give regarding bus/train from airport to Sorrento.
While I appreciate everyone's imput ( and I mean that), I would especially appreciate hearing from women regarding whether they were comfortable alone in Naples. I want to see the major sights; I don't plan to go down back alleys alone. But I need some reassurance that even the main areas are safe for a woman by herself.

be one about two ways.
1. Take a taxi to the Naples RR. Sttion
and take the Circumvesuviana RR to
Sorrento.see www.vesuviana.it/.2. There is a bus that leaves Nap directly to
Sorrento, about four times a day, see
www.enit.it/airports. These two
sights should give you the information

Just returned from Naples - for the second time... I never felt anxious or threatened in any way. It's a very busy and vibrant city with lots of people around - go and have a great time...
