Naples to Amalfi & back!

Hi,
I am flying into Naples airport (early Sept arriving mid moning) and need to get down to Amalfi & then back to Naples for a 7.30am flight 5 days later. Can anyone advise what the best & most painless transport solution is? Ideally I would like to miss Naples this time around & go directly from Amalfi, Positano or Sorrento if at all possible. Can you help?

Thanks in advance.

Hire a driver or have your hotel arrange one.. Cost each way should be around 70-90 euros. There are sevral recos on this forum.

Hi,

Ditto on the driver. You will have to leave at about 4 - 4:30 AM.

PS

Check with your air carrier if they want you there 2 hrs in advance. They might not be open at 5:30 AM.

I agree that hiring a driver for such an early flight would be the most painless solution, next to staying near the airport!

I've got to add that flying out of the Naples airport was a pleasant delight...fairly easy layout with hardly any significant distance from entrance to counter to gate. Although this may sound risky, I would estimate checking in 1.5 hours before departure would be sufficient. Have your hotel or driver call ahead that morning to confirm the departure time.

Check out the website gesac.it. It appears that the ticket counters start operating from 5am. Hope this helps!
