thank you.
I have been to all of those sites and because my Italian is rusty, wasn't sure if the schedules specified Sundays or not.
I just don't want to get to Naples and have no bus on Sunday morning.

It didn't say not Sundays, I don't think. One of the lists the taxi fare so you can check that in the event you need to take a taxi.

The timetable says there are Alibus departures from the airport between 0630 and 2339 on "feriale" (Mondays to Fridays), between 0630 and 2350 on "sabato" (Saturday) and between 0630 and 2330 on "festivo" (Sunday or public holiday).

Hi sorsha011,
i'm alex, i live in naples and i'm here to help you.

Alibus is for me the best experience to come from airport to the centre of naples. These are economic(alibus ticket costs only 3 euros and you can buy it inside of a bus), are fresh, clean and fast.
But remember that this will stop only in 2 places: train station in Garibaldi square or Maritime station in Municipio square. From here then you'll need to move on foot or taking another bus.
If you need another bus, the abcnapoli map that Steve_James gave you in his post is excellent, you can find inside of it for all parts of the city bus lines to take. The same map on paper version you can take for free at Infopoint inside on airport.

If you prefer to take a taxi, from the square in front of airport, ask about predetermined rates. In this way, regardless of travel time, the price agreed at the beginning of the race is always the same : about 16,50 Euros all inclusive from airport to municipio square, if you take a taxi in a working day. (plus 1 or 2 euro max on sunday).

If you need some tips about where to stay or more stuff, chat with me or leave a comment from my english blog:

Have a nice journey!
ciao ciao

Ciao alex,
I'm reading your blog and it's quite wonderful, and something I think is much needed because we are always seeing rumors about your city and it's great to have the views of a resident who can give us a real point of view!
bravo!

CIao Alex,
I look forward to your comments on Napoli and will respond there on your blog. I think you could do a great deal to help travelers understand that the people of Naples aren't from some other planet, but are warm-hearted, have a wonderful sense of humor and a special view of life to offer those of us lucky enough to experience a visit there.
Again, all the best of luck with your blog!

Good luck with the blog, Alex. I was in Naples last month, and found the locals very helpful. Even though the garbage was worse in May than April, I didn't think it was that bad.
