Thanks to everyone for your helpful replies! I have finally gotten our honeymoon plans all settled-- 3 nights in Varenna (Lake Como) at Villa Cipressi, 3 nights in the Dolomites at Romantik Hotel Turm in Fie, and three nights in Venice at Pensione Accademia. The Hotel Turm took a while to reserve, but I think it will be perfect for our purposes. Now all we have to do is hope for good weather in late April! Thanks again for the help in planning.

A very good website for Val Gardena is www.valgardena.it, it is the official website of the Tourist Office Val Gardena.
There you can find the new video about "Val Gardena-love at first sight"
you can see the actual situation in the valley by looking at the webcams:
on Seceda (live-cam!)
on Col Raiser
on Tublà (the newest webcam)
on Ciampinoi
you can download the nicest images (winter and summer) in Val Gardena
Look at www.valgardena.it !

hi fellow Tampan!
I visited Como and Milan last July. We stayed at the Four Seasons in Milan and stayed at Tremezzo Palace on Lake Como. We flew into Milan and drove to Como (a little over an hour). Tremezzo is wonderful hotel and only 45 minutes from Lugano, Switzerland which was a beautiful(!!!) day trip. Best wishes on your wedding!
