Mykonos to Santorini

Any suggestions on the most direct route from Mykonos to Santorini? Seems like there is a limited amount of ferries between the islands in September...is that normal?

Thanks!!!

Here's a link to the published schedules for September between Mykonos and Santorini, but be aware that these can change without warning at any time, and boats can be cancelled due to high winds and/or breakdowns.

We flew between the islands in 1998. It was not very expensive and much quicker. We encountered people who had been delayed for quite awhile because of rough waters when travelling on the ferries. Not sure if the flights are still that inexpensive, but its worth a look.

Good luck,

We booked with a travel agency in Athens and took the hydroplane.

Thanks so much for the 411! I'm leaning towards flying to get the most in.

I did go to the GTP site to check out the ferries. No prices given. Also it says to book through a travel agent. Does that sound right?

Thanks!

Just ask travel agencies when you're in Mikonos. They'll know what the options are. Nobody now knows what ferries will be running in September.
