Mykonos Restaurant Bar with Greek Music Recommendations

We will be in Mykonos in mid-September. Interested in any recommendations on restaurants or bars that have traditional Greek bands / music. Thanks for your guidance.

Hi Ken

Mmmm not easy to find on Mykonos.

I know of one place at either Ornos or Platys Gialos beach, which has Greek music and some dancing a few times a week. I apologise though because I cannot recall its exact location or name but will get them for you. Leave that with me.

Another to check out is the restaurant called Kostas, which is in the town centre (5 Mitropoleos). Good prices for Mykonos in that I pay around 25e for a substantial two-course meal and a glass of wine. The reason I mention them is that although they do not have an official Greek night almost every time I eat there (which can be most nights when I’m on the island) two, sometimes three gentlemen sit at the back of the seating area. They each have a bouzouki and/or santouri, their music is wonderful and enjoyed by the restaurant’s customers.

Some nights the woman who owns Kostas will sit with them and sing traditional songs and they accompany her.

Blue Myth is the restaurant in Mykonos by Platys Gialos Beach area that has Greek music and dancing. I think it was Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays nights. We went and had a great time!
