My travel update

Could you tell us a pleasant experience you had? Did you walk around any street markets? Did you go into Westminster Abbey? Did you see the Queen?
I am reminded though, Dobby of a line I heard on "Justifed" the other night: 'If you run into an as*ho*e in the morning, you ran into an as*ho*e. If you run into as*ho*es all day, you're the as*ho*e." Crude, but true.

I'm sorry Dobby, I realize it's all about you. The post I read was only about those that did whatever it was that made you mad. As if that is the world's only purpose is to be nice to you and if they're not then you have to inform everyone of these terrible people. If something nice happens to you, you don't bother to write about it - as if that is expected and the only news is when those in "your world" upset you to the point that you have to mention it ad nauseum.

Suki - so does that mean a black person is an a hole when they experience racism in a white neighborhood? What about kids who are bullied? Is it their fault? How closed minded are you. Glad you get your way of the world through the tv. Will be ignoring whatever you post from now on. Byyye!

red haired lady on train - wanted her to shut up, she bothered me
blonde girl - agressive leg crosser and ticked me off
all Londoners - have fake coughs and this bothers me
How are any of these people considered bullies? They never even spoke to you.

Dobbie, IMO you take the cake for being about the most closed-minded person ever to inhabit Fodors, all the more amazing given your age. You are an indulged, unadventurous, petty, judgmental, fake "traveler" who hasn't done a single useful thing to make use of the incredible opportunity you've been given, and who on the contrary has butted heads with every possible person and authority you've had the chance to engage with since day one. You come across as a fussy, negative baby. My kids were over the "why is it always my fault" bullsh*t by the time they were 8. You're 18.
And if you are just playing with us, that doesn't speak any better for your character than being a true egotistical entitled twerp.

Everything I write is real. I wouldn't expect you to know what bullying is, you live in your own bubble where everyone is nice, and if they're not nice than it must be your fault. Please go away if you're not going to help me. All you guys ever do is judge me and call me awful names. How is that not bullying?? And then you say my parents don't love me, you don't know how much that hurts. How did I get from being a simple internet troll all the way to ''ego self entitled twerp''. I cannot get my head around a bunch of 50 year olds ganging up on me. There is no adventure to be had here. It's no different here than in New York. Although I might go to Funky Buddha
What does it mean when a group of teen girls and guys stare and smile at you while talking with each other in the subway/underground
I got nervous so I walked away.

I am so very sorry for you Dobby. Good post St. Cirq. I hope you will listen Dobby - it's from someone who sends it with the kind of tough love you need to listen to.
Another poster may come in and take your side but she/he is not doing you any good in life.

"There is no adventure to be had here."
Really? Wow. You are in a foreign country with the time and energy, and presumably some funds, to make your own adventure. So quitcher bellyaching and go do it!
Life is what you make of it.
If you feel like people are staring at you, ignore them and move on and enjoy your day. Life is too short to allow them to affect your day negatively.

Dobby, love, it means that they are having a good time. They are not looking or smiling AT you, they just happen to be smiling as they look in your direction. I really think that you may have a problem whereby you struggle to interpret the feelings and emotions of other people. you had problems with your neighbours, with people in the pub, with people on the tube. and it sounds as if New York was no better.
you say that we haven't tried to help you but some people here have bent over backwards to offer you assistance - remember when you got into a tiz about your council tax?
i asked several times what fun things you were doing - you never answered.
one thing that travel teaches [some of us] is that you can't escape your problems by running away - they have a terrible knack of getting into your luggage and coming with you.

I think it is, my DH & I have been there many times and find the people, history, country to be outstanding. Too bad you missed all that.
You would seem to be far more comfortable and happy in your room in your own home in your own city all by yourself. What a sad life. But if it separates you from the real world then go for it.
