My time is almost over
After 6 weeks here, I'm down to the "last Saturday, last Sunday, last ....."
Today, we head for Mazzorbo, for the Easter mass at Santa Caterina. I was told, on good authority, that it's the best in Italy!
Here's the link to my blog for some of the highlghts of my time here:

cafegoddess, the darn blog has become the master on this trip! It's such a wonderful experience to spend a long time in Venice, for sure.

And now, this sad and sorry Venice tragic has been home a few days. But, I can relive some of the tale through my blog. (Poor me!)
I'm sorry I didn't get to that Fodor's GTG with ellenem, maybe next time.

Hi, gh21, it's a Hedgren Urban bag. It's nice and light, has several zippered compartments. It easily carries my camera, Moleskine Venezia journal, wallet, etc. It has a little zippered pocket on the strap for your mobile phone. On the way home, I tuck my Kindle into the back pocket.
Wow, I've never been asked for 'fashion' advice before!

annhig, I was just reading ellenem's excellent report, and see you plan to visit Piazzale Michelangelo. When you climb the final steps to Chiesa San Miniato, please stop and go into the cemetery which is on the right hand side. There is a sculpture there, near the gate, of a mother with her cape extended to protect her children .. so moving. (I've hinted to my offspring about fitting tributes to a mother, to no avail. They don't make kids like they used to!)
