My Seville Visit

We are excited to be planning our first trip to Spain, later this year. We will be in Sevilla during the Christmas holiday, which complicates planning the details of our visit. We will take the train from Madrid to Seville on Dec. 23. I would like to stop in Cordoba for the afternoon, as many Fodorites recommend, but perhaps our Seville touring time will already be too limited by the holiday? The next day, Dec. 24, I am hoping that we can see the Giralda and Alcazar. We?ll do tapas in the afternoon and book a restaurant that evening (I understand that many restaurants close the evening of 24th so we will book ahead for that meal). On Christmas day we would like to see the Cathedral, do a walking tour of the Barrio Santa Cruz, and perhaps spend some time in the Parque Maria Luisa. Do the carriage rides take place in the winter? The following day, Sunday, we will have time to do one activity (suggestions please!) before we move on to our next location. Is this do-able? Please help me with some suggestions, improvements, or point out any problems I may have missed!

On the night of the 24th every single restaurant will be closed, except for some hotels, that will serve an early dinner for customers.
So plan well in advance or have dinner in your room.
The good news are that plenty of places open after midnight.

If the flamenco show at Los Gallos is open, I highly recommend it.

We've been in Sevilla in Feb and there were carriage rides in park, I would think on Xmas day they will be as well.

Thanks for the replies. Other comments please! Is walking the neighborhoods interesting even if the shops/businesses are closed? What to see and do if the regular tourist attractions are closed??
