These pictures are great. We are going to Dijon from Paris on our trip for one of the days. I see you took the train. Did you need a car to get around to the vineyards in Dijon? We were going to get a car so we could see the vineyards. What do you think?

agree with Monica about the car. It is necessary to from a village to another along "la route des Grands Crus"
Welcome to Burgundy!
Monica thanks for the details, I know now it is not typical Burgundian food!
BTW I don't live in the flat I rent out, so we would have met somewhere else... ;-)

Very nice photos Monica-you have a real talent for photographing food-you should be peddling to those companies who specialize in taking photos of food for restaurants!
Love the area of the Marais that you stayed in-there's no better area of Paris to stay, as far as I'm concerned. The area around the Village St. Paul with its art and antique shops (I went to an art exhibition opening on the Rue St. Paul given by a friend of a friend last September) is charming and interesting-always something going on in this area.

Monica, I finally had time to look at your photos (everyone knows how it is when you get back to work from vacation - no surf time available). It made me smile to see you since I now know you! And I burst out laughing at your picture of the radishes because on the phone the other day my mother asked if I would take pictures of the radishes at the market because she never saw so many different kinds.
I especially like the photo of the young handsome gendarmes. Makes me want to do something to get arrested!

Sandra, the bakery is on 32 vieille du Temple, about 2 blocks up from rue Rivoli on the right side. Across the street is the gelato place. On the right side of the bakery, you'll see a blue door and #32. My studio was in that building.
Here's a photo of the building/bakery http://www.worldisround.com/articles...5/photo19.html
and a photo of Nadia:

Tell her Monica and Louisa say Hello!!!
Hmmm Susan, I wish I had thought of something to get frisked by those handsome men!
