My former home in Patrick Henry Village, Heidelberg

Click on the photo slideshow to see refugees that now live in the former housing area for US military, their families, and various staff. I am glad to see that the Germans authorities are doing so much to help these refugees.

The two story buildings were BOQ's or women's quarters. I don't know if they're putting families in the family housing, which would be the 3 story buildings.

The picture labeled the Kasino looks to me like the officers' club. Another building, a long-ish and narrow one, looks like the Teen Center.

Apparently, "the page does not exist". Would that be because I'm trying to open it on an iPad?

How strange. It didn't work for me either. I'm going to try again. It's cut off at the end. Maybe that makes a difference. I lived there from 1965 to 1970.

It does work. The page you get says "we're sorry," but there's a little picture--the second box from the left at the top of the page. There's a golden field with the buildings in the background.

Click on the lines under the picture, and the picture story comes up.
