I opened this thread thinking "Enotica Antica", and I was surprised to see it was his first one! We were just there in March, and it was my favorite meal of our trip. Details in my trip report.

Bookmarking (is that the same as "topping"? - and what in the world is "ttt"?)

Wow I am shocked! This post of mine resurfaces every now and then. It's hard to believe that I wrote it in 1999. That was 7 years ago and I was just a kid (damn tomorrow is my B-day).

Well good news, I was just on here to start planning my next trip to Rome! I am working on Thanksgiving week. As many of you know I usually travel to Europe every Thanksgiving for holiday. For the last 2 years i have done Paris, but thats getting dull, so I thought it was a bout time I re-visited Rome.

Does anyone know a good apartment or any new trattorias?

Hi ready2travel. I don't know why people type bookmarking as generally that means that you click on your Favorites (top of your screen) and add the thread to your "bookmarked" websites that you want to keep. I think when I had Netscape it was called Bookmarks rather than Favorites if memery serves me correctly.

TTT means "taking to the top" or topping.

Whenever one adds a post to a thread no matter what they type it brings the thread up to the head of the list of threads.

Richard, how fun to see your 1999 post! And Happy Birthday!

So, Richard, what do you think...should we try the gelato while we're in Rome?

Happy Birthday!

Thank you, LoveItaly. You saved my sanity as well as my fingers - it's a lot easier to type "TTT" rather than "bookmarking."

Happy birthday, Richard !!! If I knew how to add the little cake icon, I would have included that as well.

Going to Paris every year is getting dull?! I should be so lucky, and so bored.

Well, IN CASE anyone is wondering where TomKat held their wedding rehearsal dinner in Roma last night, I just read in Corriere della Sera that they went to one of Tom's favorites-RISTORANTE NINO's on Via Borgognona, right there at the Spanish Steps (Tom C. prefers restaurants in this area-obviously, because his favorite hotel is the Hassler). JLo, Jim Carrey, Will Smith and other celebs. were also present. (Oprah: NOT invited to wedding).

Nino's is very good, not haute cuisine at all, or particularly upscale-VERY popular with Romans- journalists, politicians, celebs, etc. (have heard, not been) Tuscan cuisine, lots of wood paneling

I thought this was worth a topper even though the original post is old.
