My 2 favorite restaurants in Rome were the L'Antica Enoteca on the Via Croce near the Spanish Steps. Its a wine bar with the most delicious Antipati and Salads, not to mention the wine! Wine is served by the glass with an extensive menu of wines from all over Italy.

My second choice is a simple restaurant near the Piazza Navona in Old Rome called the Antica Taverna at Vicolo della Monte Giordano 12. Its a simple place with the most dreamy pasta.

Try my websight for pictures and description of these and other restaurants in rome. its not completely finished by the Rome part is mostly done.

http://home.earthlink.net/~richardab/

Follow the path - Enter>Fly>Europe>Rome

Have Fun!

Re Ferdinando on Via Sardinia, not far from the Spanish steps. It is everything you imagine a "real" Italian restaurant to be: small, intimate, family-owned and food to die for. It was located right around the block from our hotel, Hotel Regency. Ask for Giovanni. He'll take good, good care of you.
