Must see sites in Venice

On my last visit to Venice we took the vaporetto from San Marco to San Giorgio, across the canal. The purpose is to go to the top of the Campanile and have an orientation view of Venice. I like the view here because it includes a nice view of San Marco as well and it is less crowded than the campanile at San Marco. (I forgot to record the number of the vaporetto in my journal and of course, I gave away my guide book.)

Wow!! My Fiancee and I just logged and out of curiosity checked my original posting(I hadn't gotten any replies by last week) and I am so happy to see all this great and valuable information. We have decided that we will follow your advise and put Murano at the bottom of our list(only if we have time). We decided having relaxing walks and enjoying the beauty of Venice will be our top priority(RELAX, RELAX and Enjoy). We will be printing all this trail of information and bring it with us.
