Museum tickets in Florence
I was just perusing the Firenze Musei website and saw in the "rules" section that admission is free for Art Academy students with a valid ID.
Does anyone know if that is enrollment in a particular Art Academy, only European academies, etc...or does an enrolled student at the American Academy of Art, in Chicago qualify?
Not that it's a huge amount of money to be saved, but hey, free is free.

The full text about free admission for art academy students reads: "teachers and students enrolled in the Fine Arts Academies or corresponding institutes within the European Union students must display the certificate of enrolment for the current academic year in Italian or English)"
I don't believe Chicago is in the European Union.

Well, given that that is a different website than the one I was looking at, I see the difference in verbiage.
"Art academy instructors and students (students must provide proof of enrolment for the current school year);" (copied and pasted from the site I was reading) therefore I think my question was valid.
Yes, I am quite aware that Chicago is not in the EU, but thanks for the snarky reply none the less. A simple "here's the info I know" would have sufficed.

You're correct, you have been helpful in the past, which is perhaps why this response was taken as it was, condescending and insulting.
Had I been reading the same website that you quoted, I clearly would have had no need to ask my question, but given the generality of the information I had, I thought it appropriate to ask.
No need to dwell...moving on
