Museum passes near Hotel Bonaparte

We will be staying at the Hotel Bonaparte and would like to get museum passes before we visit the Louvre. Do you know the best place to do this near our hotel?
Can we walk to the Louvre from our hotel or is this too far?

You should be able to get them in the Odeon metro stop as that one has a couple lines crossing. I don't know if they sell them in the simple stops with only one line (like St-Germain-des-Pres which would be closest).

Aside from that, the Musee Delacroix is very nearby and is on the pass, so I'm sure it wouldn't be crowded and you could get it there (6 rue de Furstenberg, but my map has it on rue Jacob just east of rue Bonaparte).

You should be able to easily walk to the Louvre from there, and the Musee Delacroix would be on the way.

Hi mrk,

Go to www.mappy.com

Enter 61 rue Bonaparte as your departure address.

Enter any other address as you destination.

Change "express" to "Pedestrian'

It will give you distance and walking time.

Ira,
I need to send you a dozen roses.
I have not been to Europe in 30 years and the trip at times is overwhelming. You made by day today and it is even my son's 18th birthday.
Thank you for telling me about mappy.com
I have already mapped out our path to both the Louvre and Musee D'Orsay and more to come tomorrow.

Thanks, you are wonderful.
Marcia

Any thoughts on the best way to travel from Paris St Lazare train station to the Hotel Bonaparte?

Hi mrk,

Go to www.ratp.fr for directions by metro or bus.
