P.S. For those of you Maille mustard fans, you may not have to go to Paris to pick some up. Imagine the surprise on our faces when we went to the local supermarket and found several varieties on the shelf....

Hi Dave, first of all I so loved your description of your time in the Loire Valley..you made me feel like I was there with you two. And your driver Andre sounds interesting. I love to have conversation with friends and other people in Italy regarding all the various subjects and they do also. It is so interesting and certainly lends itself to everyone understanding people from other countries in a better way.

Congratulations on getting the kitchen renovation completed. A beautiful and functional kitchen..what more could anyone ask for! May you enjoy it for many years.

And thank you so much for such a beautiful, interesting and informative trip report. I truly enjoyed it. I wish I could write a descriptive report as you are able to, that is a talent I don't seem to have.

I hope you and your wife will be able to take many more wonderful trips.

Ok I get it - the mud room is often called a "utility room" in the UK and includes the washing machine, dryer, etc. and the "powder room" is a cloakroom! In our case, we have managed to combine both, [or neither] so have a "futility" room too far away from the back door to be any use for muddy boots whatsoever.
Love the trip report.
