Just rented a movie this week called "Greenfingers" with Helen Mirren, set in England. Charming comedy with some great character actors including David Kelly from "Waking Ned Devine" and Warren Clarke from Dalziel and Pascoe. Anyone who likes gardening should definitely watch this one. Sort of "the Longest Yard" meets "Calendar Girls" (no nudity thought )

This one still might be showing at some movie theatres, it it called Before Sunset with Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy. Takes place in Paris. I agree with Sliding Doors, Love Actually, and Notting Hill. Also for Paris- The Bourne Identity. Amelie is a favorite too.

I know some people have mentioned books- I am reading Murder in the Marais by Cara Black. Really great read that is set in Paris.

Kate, I suppose it was from seeing Mary Poppins (which my daughter absolutely loved and wanted to stay and sit through again), but the thing I remember in first seeing London is all the chimney pots.

My DH collects old movies (1940's) and we watched Waterloo Bridge before and after our London trip. While in London we walked across Waterloo Bridge at night, one of the romantic highlights of our trip!
