Dramamine is the only thing that really works for me (I think in Europe it's also marketed as Nautamine or something like that, but don't quote me on it.) It does knock you out - I took it once on a choppy Channel crossing from Calais to Dover, and I didn't wake up for about 400 miles!
When I was in Maui this year on a snorkelling trip, I got really seasick for the first time. The crew suggested two things - head outside at the back of the boat (which didn't work) and hold a cold can of Coke (or something similar) at the bottom of the neck, which either did work or I just ran out of sick, I'm not sure!

Hi,
There is a "wristband" called the ReliefBand that is more than just a marble on a string. It is about $100 and works by sending pulses along your P6 medial nerve. You can dial it up (more intense) or down as needed. Bla bla bla. I was an aviation journalist in a former life, and had the occasion to test and report on it a few times. (Acrobatic student/pilots need it at the beginning of their training.) I personally use mine on sportfishing trips. I have no connection or comment on the company who makes it, but I have found that it works. (It is also FDA approved.) Net? It's not all all bunch of hooey.
