what a lovely trip. you seem to have achieved a great balance between more serious sight-seeing and fun - all that planning paid off!
incidentally, a colleague of mine went to Paris last weekend and was singing the praises of the new bike loan service in Paris - for €1 a day, you can pick up a bike, ride it to your destination, leave it in the bike racks, then pick up another when you leave to get to your next destination.
however, given the Paris traffic, not for the faint of heart!

Just a hint for those who plan to take the funicular to Sacre Coeur. You can use the same metro ticket you used to get to Montmartre. In fact you can reuse a metro ticket to reenter the metro within 90 minutes.
