most beautiful mountain views

I recently returned from Zermatt and despite the cloudiness I have memories of magnificent mountain views from high up this region. Is there anything comparable in the U.S. or Canada?

The Canadian mountain national parks (Banff, Jasper, Yoho, Kootenay, Glacier and Mount Revelstoke) have scenery that rivals or surpasses anything that I have seen in Switzerland. The Icefields Parkway from Banff to Jasper is a route with breathtaking mountain scenery at every turn. The view of the Victoria Glacier from Lake Louise is stunning. These are only a few of the highlights of these parks.

Glacier Park in Montana and Canada is really gorgeous, but I don't remember specific views.

I don't know that I'd say it's comparable, but some of the views from mountains in Arizona, looking down from a very green area onto the lower parts of the mountains & then out onto wide expanses of desert, are stunning.

Offhand, I can think of a couple (besides the already mentioned Canadian Rockies):

- Views from the Yosemite Valley floor toward Half Dome or El Capitan, and views from several places along the Tioga Road. Lauterbrunnen Valley in Switzerland reminded me of Yosemite Valley (but with cows.)

- Views from Hurricane Ridge in Olympic National Park, Washington State.

Mt. Sneffels in the San Juan Range in southwest Colorado is 14k ft. You can't stop looking at it when you drive Hwy 62 over Dallas Divide.
