Moreton-in-the-Marsh

Does anyone know if the train station in Moreton-in-the-Marsh has a place where you can leave your luggage and take a walk around the town? Thanks...

Due to the cost of providing the service (security checking, primarily), left luggage services are only available at large, busy stations. There is no left luggage service at Moreton-in-Marsh -- note there is no "the" in the town's name.

Thanks so much for the quick reply...I was afraid that would be the case of no left luggage area...just have to pack lighter! Also thanks for the info on "the" in the name. I thought I had seen it both ways someplace.

It's one of those trick questions they have in the Cotswolds to identify spies....

You're confusing life with art

'Much Binding In The Marsh', where Stinker Murdoch tried to run an RAF station back in the golden age of radio, now exists only as some hard to get tapes of the 1940s shows and a song:

At Much Binding in the Marsh.
The Hangar has been made a trifle wider,
At Much Binding in the Marsh
We did it to accomodate our glider
Our pilot said he'd like to try it out as it was new,
We took him up ten thousand feet and then we waved adieu,
He came down six months later to the north of Katmandu
From Much Binding in the Marsh

Moreton in Marsh (NEVER with a "the&quot RAF station, on which Murdoch's fiefdom was based, is now a fire brigade training centre

Thanks for the information about the name...I'm not familiar with the area or name but I'm really looking forward to visiting there the end of April. I love knowing more about the area and its' history. So much to see, do, and learn.
