Montmartrain

In the interest of saving my knees, we plan to use the Montmartrobus and Motmartrain to manage the hills of Montmartre. We'd like to walk downhill and take the bus or tourist train up. However, every website I look at says something different about where to pick it up. One says Place Pigalle, and the other says Place Blanche. Or is it both? Does anyone know?

Best,
Sandy

Oops... sorry, that should be Montmartrain, not Motmartrain. Guess I should have previewed the message...

Sandy-

Here is a thread from July 03 about the Montmartre train.
http://www.fodors.com/forums/threads...p;tid=34430652

I found this website, but don't know how accurate it is as they still list prices in FF. I suppose you can email them to find out more "updated" info.

Here is a link for Montmartrain 75. It goes from Pigalle to Sacre Coeur.

Thanks, Jenifer! Good to have that We'll be using both the Montmartrain and the Montmartrobus.

Thanks for the link to the Montmartrain thread and the url for the Montmartrain website: That site says that the train leaves from Place Blanche, but I had been seeing both Place Blanche and Place Pigalle, so that's why I was a little confused. I had wondered if it stopped both places.

Best,
Sandy

Ira,
Thanks for the information and the link! It's good to have a definitive answer as to where it stops. Glad it's Place Pigalle, as that's much more convenient for us. We're planning to walk to the Musée de la Vie Romantique from Place Pigalle, and walk back the same way we came.

Best.
