How can I get a translation of text on a web-site?

I am sure many others must have this question too. When I come across a web-site that is in another language is there a way to use some kind of other site to translate it for me? On some sites when doing a search Google will have the place you can click to translate, but if that isn't there, how can I do it on my own? If you've got the technical expertise, I'd appreciate the help. Some languages I can pick out enough to get a general idea, but others I haven't a clue as to what the site is talking about.

Hi

Hi copy the URL in your Address toolbar.

Go to http://ets.freetranslation.com/

Click on "free web translator" and paste the URL.

There's Babelfish at http://babelfish.altavista.com/

You'll get a rough translation but it can sometimes me a bit eccentric.

I find that Systran - http://www.systransoft.com/ - (is the best of the online translators (compared with Babelfish and others).

Of course, the resulting text is never going to be more than a "gist" translation at best, and at worst, you'll get a good laugh
