Monterosso Hotel
OK, I've used the search engine and have read reviews for the Hotel Pasquale in Monterosso. I know that it is near the water, built into the mountain. There seems to be conflicting reviews about this hotel and the noise level from the trains. Can anyone shed some light on this or offer other accomadations..Thanks

Go to www.cinqueterre.com and see them all. The Pasinis have 2 hotels, with the Pasquale being on ther water. If you want quiet, check out Il Parco B&B.

Bob, thanks for your reply..I value the wisdom from your travels..The site that you mentioned is "under construction"..I have searched and found cinquterreonline helpful. I have visited the CT twice..last year staying in SML..What I fine conflicting for the Hotel Pasquale is the love/hate opinion and the noise factor..some say no problem, others..stay away..just trying to figure things out..Thanks for the help..

We stayed at the Pasquale several years ago, and I don't remember any train noise(and I'm very tuned into "noises"/
Our room was small, and the bathroom had a tree growing through it! Very different. It was right on the beach, was clean, and I would definetly stay there again. The views, and sunrise and sunsets were spectacular. Helaine

Had a good stay at the Pasquale a couple years back. Don't recall a problem with the train noise (it was March and the trains were not very frequent). Small room, very small bathroom, big window's that open to the sea, great location (just across the small town road to a tiny "beach"). Easy access to train station and paths. Would recommend it.
