We are travelling from London to Paris, and have 4 full days in Paris. Would like to see Mont St Michel and D Day area. Does it make sense to go to that area straight from London? If so, can you get there directly? (we were planning on doing Eurostar to Paris.)Or is it feasible to take a tour from Paris to that area? A one-day trip, or overnite? Or are we trying to do too much, as we are first timers to Paris and want to see all the highlights of the city? Thank you!

1. Know that you will return to Europe. And when you do, make it longer in France so you can get the full sense of Mont St Michel.
2. 4 days of Paris is not enough to enjoy Paris on its own. There is too much to see and do in Paris. If a day trip is in order, I would suggest Versailles or Giverny.

If really had to do it I might fly into Heathrow, take the bus to Portsmouth or Poole then ferry to St Malo or Cherbourg or.... and then take the train back to Paris. But I would only look at this if I had too little life and far too good a broad band to do the research
