Monica's back and we got a bigger table!
Well friends, I'm back from Paris and my Mother and I had a great time! I will post another message in a day or 2 with information about the trip. I wanted everyone who had read, "Monica, get a bigger table" to know that we met 6 others (Catherine & Peter, Joy and Mark, Michele and Joan) at Cafe du Magots on the 16th and had a lovely time sitting and talking with each other for about 2 hours. We also we ran into Kathy and Carl, (Kathy was the one who posted the "bigger table" message) at a Rick Steve's recommended restaurant in the 7th arr. It was a lot of fun! We also had a couple of photos taken, so I'll try to get it posted to this site somehow.
Monica, My husband and I returned from Paris on Sunday, the 16th. I would have enjoyed meeting up with you and the "gang" that evening, next time maybe. I do want you to know that we did visit Rue Cler on Friday, and I did stop at the Grand Hotel Leveque to leave you a note. The woman that was working at the time said she had no one under your name. I explained that you were with your mother and also had her check under your husbands name. It wasn't until I left that I remembered that you had plans to leave for a few days and then return. Sorry I missed you. I was asked before I left the hotel if you were a friend of mine and I replied "Yes, we chat frequently." Glad you all had a great time!!

Yes, we were out of town in Bayeux, Normandy for 3 nights, then returned to the 6th Arr for the last evening in Paris.

I definitely will plan another get together on my next trip and I truely enjoyed meeting others from this web site. Everyone was a joy to talk to.

Monica

Hi Brian, Sally Fowler is revising the site with the names and several photos from my trip! I plan to post a new message, "Monica's photo of the Fodorites get together at Cafe du Magots" or something like that after Sally posts my other photos. But here are the names from left to right: Mark, Michele, her Mother Joan, Peter, Joy, Monica's Mother Dorothy, Catherine, Peter's wife, and Monica.

Monica,
I tried to find the photos on this website and could not. Did you ever get them on? I don't have the email attachments you sent previously, so could you please resend the one of all of us in Paris? Thanks. Look forward to hearing from you soon regarding getting together to go over trip stories and photos, etc. Mom and I spent many hours this weekend going through our 17 rolls total of photos!! We each put a book together of our favorites and it really took time to go through them and sort them out, etc. It was really nice reliving the trip again though and we can do it over and over when we look at the books! Paris was a wonderful trip for us and we will be going back soon!
Take care,
Michele

I'm sure many of us wish we had been there!

Monica, if you can email me the pics as attachments [either .bmp or .jpg] I can load them on my server and post the url. Or perhaps one of the attendees can.
