Money in Prague
Is there plenty of ATMs in Prague? I was going to take a small amount of cash then just use my card which has no loading charges when used abroad so makes a good deal.
Also, just come back from Madeira and we struggled with ATMs has there was no English instructions - will this be the case in Prague?

Lynn, I don't mean to hijack the thread, but I'm going to Madeira in April. Are you saying there were no ATMs w/English at all? Also, by any chance did you see Barclay's ATMs there? The reason I ask is that I found those in other parts of Portugal, and I can use Barclay's without any fees. Thanks.

No don't worry there are plenty of ATMs around in Madeira - we just couldn't work it out at first. Interesting though that your Barcley Card doesn't charge abroad - I thought the Nationwide (the one I have) was the only card in UK that offers that service. Is it a particular card or just your debit? Hope this helps.
PS All shops and restaurants accept Mastercard and Visa as well, let me know if I can assist with any other queries. Madeira is very pretty.

Hi, Lynn. Actually I'm a customer of Bank of America, and they have a partnership agreement with Barclays for waiving each other's fees. When I was in Portugal a couple of years ago I used Barclay's ATMs and I paid no fees, so I was hoping they had Barclay's in Madeira.
I can't wait to see Madeira, I'm counting the days.
Thanks for your help.
