MoMondo Airfare

Has anyone booked airfare through any of the agencies listed with Momondo? The booking agencies are listed as: eDreams, Bookairfare, etc. Some of the airlines listed are WOW Air, Norwegian and Turkish airlines. I am mostly concerned about the booking agencies. Let me know if you've used any of these and if you feel they've been a safe and straightforward option.

The safest and most straightforward option is to book directly with your chosen airline.

Those agencies you're looking at do not have live prices.

If you read the T&C's, which you should btw, when you initially book, what you're booking is a request for a ticket at that attractive fare that lured you in in the first place.

The agency then has to go to the airline (exactly as you would if you booked directly) and purchase a ticket on your behalf at the *current* price, which is usually more than that attractive price you thought you'd be getting.

So they ask you for more money. And, if you refuse, getting your money back can be a challenge.

Be wise and book directly with the airlines. You'll get peace of mind for the same price as those dodgy third party sellers.

Thank you! That explanation makes a lot of sense.

Except that momondo does not work like that;

Description of service

momondo provides users with tools and resources for searching, planning and sharing travel services, including online collaboration tools and search services now available or hereafter developed, including without limitation any software incorporated into such tools and services (the "service").

momondo is not a travel agent or merchant. After completing a search on momondo, you can choose to be transferred to the third-party web- or mobile site of the vendor you have selected, where a booking may be completed. momondo is not responsible for the terms of use or the privacy policy of the web- or mobile sites where you complete your booking. momondo strongly recommends that you read the terms of use and privacy policy of the vendor’s web- or mobile sites. momondo is not responsible for collecting or remitting taxes in connection with your purchases of products and services from these third party travel providers.

You understand and agree that the Service is provided "as-is" and that momondo assumes no responsibility for the timeliness, deletion, service delivery problem, or failure to search, store any user information, user communications or personalisation settings.

momondo is a complimentary service for your personal and non-commercial use.

You may not access momondo using automated processes, even if this is for personal use.
