moderate hotels in positano

Looking for recommendations for moderate priced hotels in Positano in July not to far from the beach. ($100-$150) double. Or any ideas on bed and breakfasts or an apartment for a week in July

We loved Buca di Bacco. Right in town gorgeous, rooms, view and breakfast. I think it is in the price range you suggested. It's just terrific and a bargain considering its location!<BR>D

Stayed at the Villa Rosa - a nice pensione/small hotel. We lucked out with a beautiful view of Capri with a private rose garden. The room was small, plain and the bathroom was bare bones but having breakfast overlooking the water - they brought amazing croissants, juice and coffee in the morning made it all worth it .... 80,000 lire two year ago in late April/early May weekend.

We stayed in the Villa Rosa last May; it was less than $100, but not as good as Barb's 80,000 lire. It is a delightful hotel; full of charm, and the view of both the sea and mountains from your private patio is spectacular! I highly recommend it.

Try Eden Roc-- when we were there (1st week of April) it was not quite high season, and the rates converted to under $100/night, if I remember correctly-- I don't know how much during high season. It was a very nice place, GREAT for the money- all rooms had balconies overlooking the sea, very helpful and accomodating staff, nice little pool deck on the roof. We loved it there. Here's the website: www.edenroc.it--
