Minton China-Stoke on Trent

I collect the Minton St. James china pattern, which has been discontinued. Next summer my husband and I are taking a trip to England. Is the Minton Factory in Stoke on Trent? Does anyone know if there is a factory store there that carries discontinued patterns? Thanks. Helene

Minton is now a brand owned by Royal Doulton. You could try emailing them at

There are plenty of agencies in the UK who will source pieces for you; not many with "showrooms" to my knowledge, though... this one (http://www.chinasearch.co.uk/about_us.php) will give you a flavour of what they do, but you cane asily Google others

Do you know about www.replacements.com
I just checked and they have quite a number of pieces of your pattern.

I have a very limited release but discontinued pattern of Havilland Limoges China, and was able to get the only dinner plate they had, when I cracked one. I'm now on a program where they notify me of any pieces they get in case I want them.
Oddly enough I scouted half of France and England for that dinner plate within a year after the pattern was discontinued (I bought the original stock in London) without success, but was able to get it through replacements.com.

Hasn't St James been discontinued for quite a while? I'm guessing 10 years or more. If so, isn't very likely it would be available at the factory shop(s)

Replacement services, or possibly charity/used goods/antiques shops would be more likely
