We recently stayed there two years in a row, and it's one of our favorite hotels anywhere ever. C'est parfait.

It looks so charming and typically Parisian.

I hope you are okay with all the rioting in Paris. Be careful.

Thanks John. it seems like moons ago I was there. they gave me a bit off my rate because I stayed over two weeks, I was amused it said my single room over looked a courtyard. It was a decorated shaft overlooking the lobby. I stayed at the L'abbaye before but long ago,now renovated and the rates tres cher for me.
Ihope you and Keith are having a good time in spite of the turmoil.

Thin, are you reading of the closings for tomorrow? We are staying a block from the Effiel. We were on a bus yesterday that has to skip several stops but they were reopened on our return several hours later. My husband wants to walk over and see them boarding up today. He could help, we are used to that.
