Milan or Paris for January 4 day break
I know there are incredible January Sales in Milan what about Paris? Also does anyone know about the nearest (tell me the distance and if there is public transportation to and from)ski slopes to either city and how do they rate? I need good green slopes I am new to the sport.

hi, i'm an american living in germany. if you're coming from the states, do your skiing there (you'll find better snow out west and better prices). there's just soo much to see, why ski? on the question of paris or milan, PARIS!! if you're set on skiing, there's some good skiiing on the french/swiss/italian border. good luck!

Thanks Michelle I have made several other trips to Paris and I use to not understand people coming to Europe to ski until I had my first run at home here. Thanks for the expense tip though does make me consider. I am worried to tell you the truth about how cold it will be in January. I was in Paris once in November and had trouble walking around without a hat. Also what is the traveling distance between Paris and the Ski destinations you mentioned? If you could be more specific about locations you enjoyed that would be great. Is there public transportation available? As for Paris shopping do they participate in the January sales that London and Milan have? How are these sales in Paris for clothes. I saw the shopping link in Paris but you were so kind to reply I thought I would also ask you. Thanks for your trouble and enjoy your time away from home.<BR>
