Milan in June

Can anybody recommend the best neighborhoods to stay in Milan? By best I guess i mean less touristy, good restaurants, proximity to sites. I'll be there in June.

And does anybody know of poker rooms in Milan/Pisa? I've tried googling them but am not getting results.

Milan is safe, so anything around city centre will be good. You can also rely on their metro system, it is fast and clean. Buses are also following the schedule, almost all the time.

If you want to be close to tourist sites, you're going to stay some place with lots of tourists. I'm sure there are some decent hotels in the newer parts of Milan that are much less touristy, but not close to any of the sites you want to see.

I stayed at Hotel Gran Duca di York a couple of weeks ago, and although it was close to everything, it is on a side street behind the Banca d'Italia, just around the corner from the Piazza del Duomo, and very quiet. If you want more of a residential neighborhood feel, somewhere in the Brera district mike work, but there will be lots of tourists and nightlife.

Hello. Thank you. I've found some nice options in the Brera district which are minutes away from the Duomo and other major sites.

As well as in Isola. That area, though further from the city center, seems like it has a more residential feel, based on reviews.

I found a place on Via Quintino Sella across the street from the palace. seems pretty centrally located.
