Milan hotels

Out of the following, which do you recommend? (Staying 4 nights, early June, first time visit).

Milan Marriott
The Westin Palace
Hilton Milan
Park Hyatt Milan
Le Meridien Excelsior Hotel Gallia

ick. Stay in an Italian small hotel. May as well be in St Louis for a Marriott or one of those mentioned.

Well, we can stay at any of those for free. Soon to be father in law (this is for our honeymoon) is giving us American Express points to pay for everything. So I'd like to know which is the best/nicest out of those.
Thanks!

All these would be very nice hotels with similar features. I think I would choose based on location.

The Park Hyatt is my favorite location of these choices, right next to the Galleria, near the Duomo and La Scala.

Some of the others are near the Centrale train station and the Marriott seems to be out of the center.

I haven't stayed in any of the above but was considering Park Hyatt (on points) before we cut out the milan portion of our Italy trip. One thing is that the PH is relatively new.

I've only passed in front of the Park Hyatt, but I've heard very good things about it. In fact I'm having dinner there tomorrow night. It's right in Piazza Duomo, so the location can't be beat. It looks like competition for the Four Seasons. I'd stay here in a flash.
As for the others...

Marriott- is far from everything.

Westin- is supposed to be nice, but is still a little out of the way.

Hilton- Next to train station, but not near anything else.

Le Meridien-Older hotel, not a bad location, but not great either.

Gallia- I don't know.
The Park Hyatt is brand new too and has a spa. Go there.
Ciao,
Melissa
