Milan: A visit to the Armani Silos

Hi there:

I have been in Milan and the environs for 10 days now and hope to write a trip report when I get home.

In the meantime, I am posting my photos from this extraordinary exhibit, as, if you are interested in fashion, it falls into the category of 'worth a trip to Milan just to see it'. It is the best of its like that I have seen, and is a permanent exhibition.

Here is the website:
https://www.armanisilos.com/

Here are my photos, but only go there if you love fashion, as there are 315 photos and a lot of close-ups on beadwork

Regards .. Ger

I couldn't get onto Shutterfly, Ger. Can't wait to see the shots.

I saw the pics. Very nice. (TDudette, try again. It look a long time to load....)

I'm not a big Armani fan, but I love-love-love the embroidered and beaded pieces. More like art than clothing.

Hi Ger. I'm going to look at your photos later tonight when I have some free time . . . but maybe post a hand full of them here on the thread -- to whet the appetite so to speak

I loved your photos! The lighting, the drama, the detail!
And I’m not interested in fashion, lol.

And jealous you are out there, doing things...

Weird, my post was needing approval by moderators- unlike the new poster klankf that can post 4 lots of spam unmoderated - and my post is still not up, but it ‘looks’ like I’ve posted.... ‘last post Adelaidean’

I did not make it to this exhibit on my trip to Milan so thank you for posting all the great pics! Beautiful. I took a Fashion walking tour while there and the docent spoke a lot about Mr. Armani, how he got his start etc. I particularly like his simple women's suits.

Finally got a chance to view the whole album. Just WOW

Since it is a permanent exhibit - hopefully some of us will be able to see it in the future.

Tried again and it popped right up. Got the Shutterfly page the first time. Although I didn't love many, it was nice to see the individualism in the designs. And yes, the beading was gorgeous. I loved the cut of the white jacket with the dragonfly pin. Thanks, Ger.
