Twin Silos, Cape Cod?
When my husband was a boy, he remembers seeing a restaurant on Cape Cod called Twin Silos (or maybe that was not its name, but it had two silos. It looked fancy to him and he always thought it would be neat to go there.
We are planning a trip to Cape Cod and I suggested that we could fulfill that childhood fantasy. But only if it still exists.
I checked google maps without luck.
Is anyone familiar with it.

Hmmm....not many silos on Cape Cod. Does he know where on Cape Cod he was visiting?
Red Barn Pizza in Eastham has 3 or 4 barn-shaped buildings and a silo.....perhaps it was a different type of restaurant back in the day?

I showed him the photo. He thought it looked familiar, but also thought it had two silos. He wondered if one had been torn down.
But then we discussed location. They stayed in Buzzard's Bay and he didn't think they would have gone as far as Eastham.
He was pretty young at the time, so doesn't remember details.
Mostly he remembers that he saw Cadillacs in the parking lot and that people looked dressed up. Of course back then, people dressed up more than they do now.

Thanks for your help. I'll bet you that the Silo Marketplace is the site of where it was. Maybe we'll have to do some more sleuthing.
I'll ask him if he thinks it could be in Maryland. I don't think it would be since he talks about going to Buzzard's Bay as a pre-teen and he's never mentioned Maryland.

There used to be a restaurant called Twin Silos in the Fall River/Somerset area of Massachusetts. My grandparents took me there many times in the Sixties when I was a kid.
What I remember best was that the restaurant served Ginger Ice Cream!
