Mid December trip to Spain

Our nephew will be studying in Valladolid, Spain until mid December. We would like to fly into Madrid, spend a day or two and then take the train to Paris. Valladolid is the first stop. Is there a way to hop on/hop off to explore en route?

Hi! There are trains from Madrid to Valladolid what I am not sure about is if the train that goes from Madrid to Paris will stop in Valladolid. What you can do is to rent a car and to drive from Madrid to Valladolid. It is not far away and the road is good! Hope it helps

You have a solution. The train to Paris stops at Valladolid at 21:19 h. You can buy your ticket from Valladolid to Paris.
That way you can take a morning or midday train from Madrid to Valladolid (there's a high speed "Alvia" train almost every hour), spend some hours with your nephew and be at the station around 21:00 to take the train to Paris in Valladolid.
