Metro stops in MOSCOW!
Hi, I would like to know the name of the 2or
3 closest metro stations to the kremlin .
My hotel is near the " mendeleyevskaya"-"novoslobodskaya" stations, so if I get on the metro in which stop should I get off. thanks.

The destinations section here has very good info on transport in Moscow. Also detailed info re all the sights, which includes the name of the closest metro station. For Red Sqaure, "Metro: Ploshchad Revolutsii."

You will find that many of the metro stations will have more than one name. If three lines pass through one station, each line will have a different name. he stations that you would want for the area around the Kremlin would be Okhotny Ryad if you are on the Orange Line, on the Green Line it would be Ploshchad Revolutsi and on the Purple Line Teatrainaya. Mendeleyevskaya and Novoslobodskaya stations are on the Gray Line and Circle Line but do not have a direct link to the Kremlin area. From your hotel you could take the Circle Line one stop to Beloruskaya Staton and then transfer to the Green Line, heading into the it would be 3-stops to Teatrainaya station which would get you near the station. You could also travel on the Gray Line but still would have to transfer. Take your time and have a look at a metro map and plan your trip. If you miss one train the next one will be along in a minuite or so. At the boarding point you will see an information chart showing the various stations along that particular line, you can not see it once the train is in the station The maps in the cars all now seem to be in English and Russian.
