Megeve in mid to late March for skiing?

We are planning a trip to Megeve for about 10 days starting March 15th. We'll be w/our 3 year-old and 8 month old (we'll have to figure out ski school + babysitting; any recs. there more than welcome!), staying at the Fermes de Marie. We were a little concerned about the altitude that time of the year, wondering if it may be a little too low so that we may not have enough, if any, snow. Has anyone been there recently around that time? What other resorts are close by? We like that it's such a close drive from Geneva. Thanks in advance for your advice.

You might check www.goski.com and www.ifyouski.com for averages, info, etc.
It is so variable in the Alps; sometimes early snow, sometimes late. We were in Serre Chevalier in March one year with high altitude but southern Alps, and it was slushy in the afternoons.
