MEERSBURG / Lake Constance

Can you recommend some towns to drive to see in the area. Have already been to Constance, Alpenzel, Schaffhausen, Lindau Uberlinging, Staufen, Triberg, Titisee. 1 1/2 to 2 hrs would be max one way driving time
Thanks
Orri

I can't vouch for any spcific towns, but I can relate a story. A few years ago, I visited a relative in St. Gallen, Switzerland, near Lake Constance. I had a great time. St Gallen is a lovely town, worth a visit, but that's not the story. After arriving home, in Maryland, I read an article saying that barely on the German side of Lake Constance, close to the Swiss border, is a town, I forget the name, where the German dirigible was invented and produced. There is (by all accounts), a very interesting museum dedicated to the history of the dirigible, called a Zeppelin, after its inventor. There is also nearby, another museum which is on the site of the birthplace of the German Luftwaffe. It's also supposed to be quite interesting, especially to airplane lovers such as I. Needless to say, I was severely miffed that I missed those attractions. I hope someday to get back there and take them in. I can't remember the names, but I know they're near the German Swiss border on the lake. If you're interested, you should research and find the names of those tows. Good luck.
