May 26 Protest
I just read that there is now a protest planned for May 26. I will be in Paris then and would dearly like to miss this event! Any info on location or the such that any of your hear about would be greatly appreciated.
IT sounds like the one yesterday at least went fairly peacefully.

I would check AFP.com on the web—you can choose English or other languages. Or France 24 app is another resource for French and International news. I use an app called The Local and you set alerts by the countries you are interested in.
we register with the State department when we travel to get alerts. I did get a few alerts when in Barcelona last Fall during those protests and rallies. (Not sure if you are American or not).

It's some of the typical unions trying to get a general strike for social justice, solidarity, etc.., and bring more people into it. So they still have some work to do to get it together. They just decided this a couple days ago. I suspect they are doing this as an anniversary of that ine in 2016 on that date. I agree if you want to avoid it, just go to a nondescript spot, they wouldn't do it there. I've encountered such protests in some other spots than Republique and Bastille area (although those are prime spots), such as around Montparnasse tower and also in the 7th somewhere, forget where exactly. The one Sat was between Opera and Bastille, from what I read, I thought they met around the Louvre. I'd avoid Opera area also. And there was some guy intercepted in the 5th with some weapons, I think.
I don't think you can predict it this far in advance, wait until closer to the date. You could follow some of these guys on Twitter. Francois Ruffin is an activist journalist in the LFI party who posts about it, for one, even has his own website and is on Twitter. So are Les Insoumises.

They even have a hashtag on Twitter, #26mai with lots of news

If it's anything like the Femen, I'm sure that a lot of guys would like to see them.
