kerouac, loved your essay on Aigues Mortes. We had the make the same decision and made it the reverse of what you did. Hope to get back to see more of Aigues Mortes on another trip. But yes, seeing the annual gypsy pilgrimage to Stes Maries de la Mer would be great. Hope you manage to do it and provide us another great photo essay.

Loved your pictures! My favorites were the night shots of Marseilles and the sculptures around "town". The upside down mirror fascinated me!
Thanks for sharing. Enjoy Ptown!
When I add photos to an album in Picasa, there is a key to hit called "organize" and up pop thumbnails of all pictures I have added to an album (or put into new album). I click on the pictures and move them around. Does this work for you?

Wow, irishface. This could be the answer to all my problems. I'm off to see if I can find the organize button and make it work. Glad you liked the pix. Maybe the next ones will be better, thanks to you.

Hi Julie,
That is an excellent idea to get the ferry to Provincetown from Boston. It’s a very long drive otherwise. My daughter and her family rent a house on the beach at neighboring Truro for two weeks each summer.
They suggest that the RED INN is considered the best restaurant in P-Town.

I don't have my notes with me (babysitting grandkids for a week) so I don't recall whether the Mews was also one I booked, but I know I looked at it and it looked good. May have been a location issue since we will not have a car.

Both are on the main drag, Commercial Street,
Mews is in town in the 400s I believe where the Red Inn
is much further away, past Sal's Place ( a good Italian restaurant) and has a low number address , 15.

Great photos!!!! Thanks for sharing.
We went to Montpellier as a day trip from Avignon last June.
The reason I included it was that I had read on a Fodors thread that Montpellier is one of the underrated cities in France.
As soon as we got off the train from Avignon we realized this place is special.
This year we're going to Umbria but are planning to use Montpellier as a base to explore the area for next year.
Montpellier and several days in Paris should make for a good trip.
Thanks for the additional push.

Thanks for reviving this thread and for your kind comments. Always nice to see more folks get enjoyment from your work.
Cigalechanta, you are so right about the long walk to Red Inn. I thought DH would divorce me by the time we finally got there. Did have a nice meal though and were smart enough to take a taxi back. Next time I'll take care to book Mews well in advance.
